Profit & Loss Engine
Overview
The Profit & Loss engine gives you a complete picture of your shop's financial health. It calculates gross and net margins by combining your Reverb revenue data with fees, COGS, and expenses.
Requires Starter plan or higher
The P&L engine is available on Starter, Growth, Pro, Scale, and Enterprise plans. During your 14-day trial, all features are unlocked.
Four tabs
Trends
The Profit landing tab shows your net income trend over time with year-over-year and month-over-month comparisons. See seasonal patterns in your revenue and margins, and track whether your profitability is improving.
Cards
Period-snapshot metric cards covering revenue, gross margin, net profit, fees, COGS, and operating expenses. Compare any period against the previous period at a glance.
Cashflow
An accountant-grade cashflow view with direct vs indirect expense classification, period filters, cost basis modeling, and one-time expense allocation. Configure expenses through the Configure drawer and see actual cash flow over time.

- Revenue: Gross sales
- Less: Fees: Reverb seller fees, payment processing
- Less: COGS: Cost of goods sold
- Gross Profit: Revenue minus fees and COGS
- Less: Operating Expenses: Recurring and one-time business expenses
- Net Profit: Your bottom line
Fee calculations
Verbstack automatically calculates Reverb fees for every order:
- Seller fee: 5% of the sale price
- Payment processing: 2.7% + $0.25 per transaction
- Shipping label: If you purchased a label through Reverb
