What's New

The latest updates, features, and fixes for Verbstack.

May 2026

New Feature

Stripe live billing

Stripe live billing is on. Real cards, real payouts, real annual + monthly subscriptions across Starter / Growth / Pro / Scale tiers. Customer Portal supports plan switching, payment method updates, billing history, and self-serve cancellation at end of period. Trial state distinction in the billing UI so you always know whether you're on a preview trial or a paid Stripe trial.

Improvement

Launch-week prune + tier alignment

Aligned every feature gate in the app to the launching surfaces. Sidebar, settings, and tier-gate metadata all derive from a single source of truth. Command palette upgrade. The Cmd/Ctrl + K palette now indexes every production page and supports free-text record search.

New Feature

Accountant-grade expense model

Refactored the expense model to match standard accounting conventions. Direct vs indirect classification, parity between the listing detail drawer and the cards drawer, and full P&L integration. Configure expenses once, see them flow through Cashflow, P&L, and per-listing profitability.

New Feature

Eight new charts + chart palette + standards

A unified chart palette lands across the dashboard. Eight new charts ship under the new PageMasonry primitive, with consistent typography, axis labels, gridlines, tooltips, and color usage. Chart standards documented so future surfaces stay consistent.

Improvement

Settings list table primitive + reference data normalization

Reference data (Categories, Tags, Brands, Suppliers) now derives from your account's actual usage rather than a global pool. No more cross-account leakage. New settings list-table primitive provides a consistent zebra-striped, sortable list with always-visible row actions for every reference-data section.

April 2026

New Feature

Cashflow planning end-to-end

Eight-phase rebuild of the Cashflow surface with an accountant-grade expense model. Direct vs indirect expense classification, period filters with one-time expense allocation, configurable cost basis (per-order, per-month, fixed) on every expense, per-expense-type rows, and a refreshed chart with horizontal grid + year separators. Available on Growth and above.

New Feature

Purchase orders end-to-end

Full purchase order management with a state-machine lifecycle: Draft → Ordered → Shipped → Received. PO detail drawer with status timeline, line items, supplier metadata, and an activity feed that logs every transition. Reusable edit modal with status-based field locks. Auto-append blank line items as you fill the last row, dollars-and-cents inputs, and PO product typeahead. Available on Growth and above.

New Feature

Customer density, cohorts, and bands

Customer page rebuild: distribution chart with customer bands as independent predicates, cohort + trend endpoints linking orders to customers by buyer name, density consolidation across the table, and an enhanced detail page. Available on Growth and above.

Improvement

Role-based dashboard view

You now pick a role at onboarding (Management / Customer Service / Operations). Verbstack pre-selects the dashboard widget mix that matches. Switch views from Settings → Display, or from the Customize modal. Layouts persist per-account and per-role.

New Feature

Inventory quadrant chart

The inventory planner gets a fixed-threshold quadrant chart with piecewise sqrt-stretched axes. Outliers don't compress the rest of the data into a corner. New Configure drawer lets you tune the thresholds without leaving the chart. Available on Growth and above.

Improvement

Profit pruned to four focused tabs

The Profit surface now ships with four tabs: Trends, Cards, Cashflow, and Profit & Loss. Legacy Profit subviews moved to a dedicated Lab area for further iteration. The new structure makes the most-used profitability views discoverable without scrolling through nine tabs.

New Feature

Inventory planner + supplier detail page

Single-quadrant planner chart with supplier rollups so you can see capital concentration by supplier at a glance. New supplier detail page with order history, SKUs sourced, and PO summary. PO product typeahead, dollars-and-cents inputs, and a checkbox fix on the create flow round out the polish.

New Feature

Reports prune + matrix overhaul + forecast switcher

Reports pruned to four focused views: ABC×XYZ Matrix (Pareto + variability classification), Analytics, Briefings, and Forecast. The matrix gets a horizontal-scroll layout on mobile. The forecast view ships with a metric switcher so you can pivot between revenue, units, and margin projections.

March 2026

Improvement

Reliability and error handling overhaul

Batch-optimized database operations across CSV imports and admin tools, eliminating up to 1,500 redundant queries per request. Added graceful error states to all dashboard pages so failed data loads show a retry option instead of a blank screen. Sanitized database error messages across all API routes to prevent internal details from leaking to the browser.

New Feature

In-app help and onboarding improvements

Updated the Help & Support modal with clearer descriptions and removed broken links. Improved the onboarding wizard with more specific privacy language. Verbstack encrypts your token with AES-256, never stores your Reverb password, and only reads your data unless you explicitly trigger a write action.

New Feature

ShipStation integration

Connect your ShipStation account to pull actual shipping costs into your P&L. Verbstack automatically matches shipments to Reverb orders by order number, with bulk re-matching when match rates are low. Sync runs in the background with real-time progress tracking. No more estimated shipping costs for orders fulfilled through ShipStation.

New Feature

Enhanced listing detail drawer

Click any listing to open a richer detail panel with engagement stats (views, watchers, offers), pricing breakdown, and sell-through metrics. The listings table also now includes a Views column and improved column selector.

New Feature

Server-side customer intelligence

Customer resolution now runs entirely in the database via a PostgreSQL function. Faster, more accurate, and able to handle shops with tens of thousands of orders. Added server-side pagination, sorting, and search to the Customers page with all columns visible by default.

New Feature

Enterprise-grade sync engine

Rebuilt the Reverb sync pipeline with self-chaining server-side execution, automatic overnight syncs, and a sync watchdog that detects and recovers stalled syncs. Large shops (40K+ orders) now sync reliably without timeouts. Added a "Refresh All" button and real-time progress tracking with record counts and elapsed time.

Improvement

Security hardening & RLS audit

Completed a comprehensive security audit of all database policies. Fixed 7 RLS policy vulnerabilities, hardened authentication settings, and added a pre-production security checklist to our deployment process.

New Feature

KPI deep-linking from dashboard

Click any metric card on the Overview dashboard to jump directly to the relevant detail page with filters pre-applied. Revenue cards link to detail pages, order cards to Orders, and listing cards to Listings.

New Feature

Redesigned analytics system

Redesigned the analytics engine with cleaner metric cards and sparkline trends. Dashboard now loads under 200ms with skeleton states during data fetch.

Improvement

Admin loading UX & Doherty Threshold

All admin pages now render skeleton loaders within 400ms (Doherty Threshold). Added loading states to data tables, metric cards, and chart components throughout the dashboard.

New Feature

Alpha launch

Verbstack alpha is live. Connect your Reverb shop, track revenue and sell-through, analyze profitability, and understand your customers. Free 14-day trial with all features unlocked.
