Recommendations and Approvals
Recommendations is the list of changes Verbstack proposes for your shop. Nothing on it happens until someone approves it.
Who it's for
Anyone on a Pro or Max plan. Editors and admins act on recommendations. Viewers read them.
Before you start
Connect a shop and let it finish its first sync. Verbstack builds recommendations from your synced data, never by calling Reverb. Set benchmarks in Settings → Recommendations, which drive what is proposed. Set margin floors in Settings → Pricing Policy. Every priced recommendation respects them.
Read the list
Open Recommendations and pick a tab: All, Bumps, Pricing, Offers, Sales, Inventory, Housekeeping or History. The tabs from Bumps to Housekeeping show how many are open. Each row shows a title, the reason and the current → proposed change.
Decide on one
Click the row to open it. Read the reason, the confidence, the figures and any rule that shaped it. Then press Approve, Snooze or Dismiss. Approve applies the change to Reverb straight away, logs it, and shows the result in the pane. Move through the list with [ and ], or J and K.
A restock is different. It goes on a draft purchase order and changes nothing on Reverb. Its approve button reads Create Draft PO for a new draft, or Add to PO 10005 for an open draft from the same supplier. A restock for unique items can't go on a purchase order. Its pane says why and has no approve button.
A "Leave feedback for" recommendation also shows the buyer's feedback, your recent messages, the order and the buyer. See Leave feedback for a buyer.
To change the value first, edit the current → proposed line and press Approve with Your Value. Bump rates move in 0.5% steps, from 0.5% to 30%. Verbstack records the adjustment and learns from it.
Snooze one
Press Snooze and pick Tomorrow (09:00 your time), 3 Days, 1 Week, 30 Days or your own date. It leaves the list and returns at that time. See snoozed items under Filter → Snoozed, or press Unsnooze to bring one back early.
Decide on several at once
Tick rows and use the bar above the list: Approve, Snooze Until Tomorrow or Dismiss. Rows that can't take the action are skipped, and the message says how many.
Related recommendations arrive as a group: a single row badged Group with a count, and a title like "3 ways to move Fender Stratocaster." Open it to approve them together or one by one.
Undo an applied change
In History, open the applied recommendation, press Revert and confirm. Reverts work for 30 days. If someone changed the listing since, Verbstack refuses and tells you to edit it instead. A restock added to an open draft has no Revert. Change that draft in Inventory > Purchase Orders instead.
Look for new recommendations now
Press Refresh in the page header. Verbstack checks every shop and reports how many are new, still relevant and no longer needed. New ones also arrive after each sync and every night. Refresh runs at most once every two minutes per account. Ask sooner and it says how long to wait.
What the badges mean
Source, at the left of the row: Your Target (Settings → Recommendations), AI (spotted in your data), Assistant or Daily Review. No badge means the engine's own rules.
State: Expires Soon (under a day left), Failed (Reverb refused it: read why, then press Try Again where a second try can work) and Back Again (dismissed before, and the situation changed).
Confidence is how sure Verbstack is that the change will help.
History and expiry
History holds every finished recommendation: Applied, Done, Dismissed, Expired, No Longer Needed, Replaced and Reverted. An applied one shows its result once measured: Measuring, Too Early to Tell, Worked, Didn't Work or Not Measured.
A recommendation from the assistant or the daily review expires after 72 hours. A price, bump or sale recommendation expires 7 days after its last confirming run, and each run that agrees extends it. An offer response expires with the buyer's offer. Others don't expire.
Save a view: set the tab and filters, press Save View in the header and name it. Delete View removes it while it is open.
What needs a plan or a role
Editors and admins approve, adjust, snooze, dismiss, revert and refresh. Viewers read, with the action buttons disabled. Only an admin changes Settings → Recommendations.
Three things people get wrong
- Approve applies the change now. It is not a plan for later.
- Dismiss is not Snooze. A dismissed recommendation goes to History. It returns only if the situation changes, badged Back Again.
- A refused recommendation is not a bug. It broke a pricing rule or your margin floor, and Verbstack names the rule.
