Reverb payment processing fee: Definition, Formula & Why It Matters

Also called: Reverb Payments fee, Reverb processing fee

Reverb Payments charges a processing fee of 3.19% + $0.49 per order (2.99% + $0.49 for Reverb Preferred Sellers). It is calculated on the full order total, including shipping and any sales tax, and is separate from the 5% selling fee.

Reverb payment processing fee formula

Processing fee = 3.19% × (order total incl. tax) + $0.49 (2.99% if Preferred)

Example

On a $550 order with no tax, processing is 3.19% × $550 + $0.49 = $18.03.

Why it matters for Reverb sellers

Processing is charged on the order total including sales tax, even though Reverb collects and remits that tax for you. That means you pay processing on money that was never really yours, which surprises many sellers.
